Community Outreach

For many years PBQ has participated in pro bono work as well as acquainting our community with the beauty and heritage of quilts. We make quilts all year and donate to hospitals, child welfare shelters, Habitat for Humanity and other places where we see a need. At Christmas we bring toys, school supplies, and personal items, as well as stockings for children and families.

We have monthly Sew Days to work on projects for the community, such as pillows, small blankets, NICU isolette covers, “scent cloths” for premies, walker totes, and catheter bag covers. 

The pillows are given from the Emergency Rooms as well as the Pediatric Units of Hattiesburg’s  Forrest General Hospital and Merit Health Wesley.
